These terms govern your use of ParentLaw (the “App”), operated by ThinkEdge Apps (“we”, “us”). By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
You must be 18 or older and located in the United States. The App is for parents, guardians and the professionals they choose to involve. You are responsible for everything done through your account.
ParentLaw is a record-keeping and communication tool. It is not a law firm and we do not provide legal advice. Nothing produced by the App — including a certified record export — is legal advice, and we make no promise about whether any court will admit or weigh it. Decisions about your case belong with you and your attorney.
You keep ownership of everything you put into the App. You grant us only the permission needed to store it, show it to the people you share it with, and produce the exports you ask for.
You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload, and for complying with the law where you are — including recording-consent laws, which differ from state to state.
You agree not to use the App to:
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Where we can, we will tell you why.
A subscription belongs to the household — the link between two co-parents — not to an individual. Both parents in a household receive the same entitlements regardless of who paid.
Records created in a shared household are visible to both parents. Consider that before you write something.
Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. Prices are in US dollars and shown before you pay. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com, which is the Merchant of Record for all orders and handles billing, invoicing and refunds.
You can cancel at any time from the App. Cancelling stops the next renewal and your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for. See our Refund Policy.
We may change prices. If we do, existing subscribers keep their price until the end of the current period and we tell you before the next renewal.
The Basic plan is free and subject to the limits published in the App. We may adjust those limits, but we will not remove access to records you have already created.
We work to keep the App running, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance, outages and third-party failures happen. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
You can delete your account from inside the App at any time. Deletion is permanent. What happens to your data afterwards is described in our Privacy Notice.
The App is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim implied warranties, and our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will tell you in the App before it takes effect. Continuing to use the App after that means you accept the new terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
